Funeral Rites : Devotional Service in the Final Moments of the Cow Mother

At KrishnaPriya Goshala Multipurpose Institution, Kinwat, service is not limited only to the lifetime of the cows. We preserve the dignity of the cow mother until her very last breath, and even after her death, we express our devotion, affection, and gratitude.
For us, every cow is a mother, and just like a mother is cared for until the end, we too ensure that she lives every moment of her life with dignity. Therefore, when a cow breathes her last, we do not see her merely as a dead body, but as a divine soul enriched by service, and we begin her final journey with reverence.
Religious & Ritualistic Last Rites
A Tree in Her Memory… A Living Tribute
At the spot where she is buried, we plant a sacred tree. This tree becomes a living symbol of her memory. As the tree grows, so does the remembrance of her service, affection, and sacrifice in our hearts. We water the tree regularly, tend the soil around it, and nurture it as a tribute to her memory.
Our Principle, Our Vow
In many places, the death of a cow is neglected – sometimes the body is discarded in the open, or buried without proper rites. But at KrishnaPriya Goshala, this never happens. Here, the last rites of a cow are always carried out with complete devotion, forming an inseparable part of our service.
“To preserve the dignity of the cow until her last moments, and to honor her memory even after death – this is the guiding principle of our institution.”
For us, Go-Seva (cow service) is not merely about utility, but a spiritual practice. We believe that whether alive or departed, every cow mother must be given respect, rituals, and reverence.
